The US and Australia recently traded some lawsuits/legal judgements so that an american company (RIAA) could sue a foreign soil company (Kazaa). It's probably safe to assume that they will attempt to do the same with individual users, claiming one world justice system or something.
Similar lawsuits against individuals have occured in domain name disputes, forcing the individual to travel to other countries to either go through their legal system or find another way to settle. I belive most of these cases are still pending.
Anyone know if it is just the US RIAA which is being made the test ginea pig for all this or are other countries like Japan for instance also attempting this type of legislature. There are some serious j-pop/j-movie ethusiasts on some p2ps.
for me it's obvious the RIAA doesn't want me listening to their product. and i have no problem agreeing with them.
