Isn't that the point of all this? Well, that and "music wants to be
free." Great exchange with the ASCAP guy, sounds like he's running
down their whole PR fact sheet for you. Anyway, your predicition
about shamanism and the economy is bound to happen at some point, but
probably not in your lifetime. Or if it doesn't actually dissolve,
certainly continue to evolve - probably to a weirder and worser place
than ever.
You can choose to live outside the corporate capitalism culture if
you really want to, just don't expect to share in any of the "wealth"
it generates. Grow your own food. Hey, I just met I guy who keeps two
bee hives, produces 9 gallons of honey a year - sweetens EVERYTHING
with it!
