compiled recordings from the weekly radio show 'wobbly brothers media joke', which aired on KCSB FM Santa Barbara from 1990 to 1994. originally intended for release on compact disc, six very different versions were created from 1994 to 1998 until the idea of a definitive release was finally abandoned -- too much time had passed and it had become impossible to relate to the same things that had been so fascinating to us as college students. earlier versions tried to balance both the media collages and the talk radio aspects of the show, while the final version six concentrates solely on the sampled cut-ups. the excerpts from version three represent all the material that was later cut -- in hindsight, much of the stronger stuff is here.
