That was a favor a Saudi prince promised to the Bush administration - lower 
gas prices just before the election so people will think he fixed the oil 
situation. It's probably still a few months away.

...but that probably isn't necessary. Republicans from 14 different states 
are putting gay-marriage-ban initiatives on their ballots, to bring out 
usually absent voters from the "God hates fags" school of thinking, who will 
vote almost uniformly for Bush.

Lets hope some Democrats can get together and put some bans on "brutal 
torture" on state ballots and get some Kerry votes out there.
