I don't know if there are any gearheads on the list who'd like to share some knowledge, but any help would be much appreciated.
wondering if anyone can recommend a the best cheapeast sound card for a very modest computer recording environment...
i'd like to take a step up from the creative labs live and audigy cards, but don't really know anything about specs. i can compare things relatively but wouldn't know good bench marks or anything like that...
I aspire to work with midi as well as digital audio...(recording 1 track at a time is plenty... i dont' know enough musicians to make multi-track more than extravagance)should i approach these seperately or an all-in-one?
any suggestions? I can sort through things such as which inputs i'd prefer. Beyond those kind of intial questions, I don't know where to start.
I can find a great reviews for just about anything but i'm not smart enough to sort out the bombast and bullshit...
again, any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
many thanks.
