Actually, if you consider fine art to be snotty or snobby, then yes,
it's a snotty art thing. The focus of Detritus.net is more toward the
"fine art" side of things. However, we believe that the time of low/high art distinctions
is long past. Detritus is found everywhere, from ghetto rap to Soho galleries, from
grafitti to film school. Our main concern is that Detritus results in a vibrant,
living, meaningful culture of the people, not a dry, sterile one sold to us by
the Spectacle.
