I'm a writer who does alot of work with appropriated text. One of my recent
short stories is a piece about working as an artist's model in new york,
about representation and the relationships between the artist, the model,
and the painting. In the final scene I describe taking a photo of a
painting I sat for to Kinko's and being refused permission to copy it
because I didn't have rights to the image.

"But look at it, that's ME."
"Sorry, we have to have written consent from the painter."
