Tonight I got an e-mail from In These Times, the Chicago-based magazine
that's helping to sponsor the Chicago leg of the Illegal Art tour. It
sounds like they're hoping to have a slate of events for the Chicago
portion of the tour that'll be comparable to all the fun stuff that
happened in NYC.
Right now, the only confirmed event they have is "a panel event" on Feb
15th, featuring Lawrence Lessig, Stanford law professor and the chairman
of Creative Commons. They're hoping to schedule some more audio & video
exhibits to take place during the time the exhibit's in town (January 25
through February 21).
Right now, they're looking for local artists to submit works that fall
under the Illegal Art banner. Information on how to submit your work
(and more general information about the Chicago exhibit) can be found at
the In These Times Website: <http://www.inthesetimes.com/illegal-art/>
