Don't know anything about DDTV, picked up CPR just cus of the title
(Eiichi Hatakeyama's address is on it, i'm assuming he's the one
responsible for the audio), anyway i'm just curious how this type of
creation, audio reuse, is it going on in other countries of the world?
US sure, Japan's got some from what little i know, and Europe has the
bootie craz of one form or another, but how about other countries which
have the economy for this type of experimenting. for instance is
anything going on in India? they've got all a big pop music thing but
is the climate right for personal expression through appropriation? the
closet thing i've found to an Indian reinterpretation, was this Daler
Mahendi (Telepori a Taliban (sp?)) video where someone cut in Bush and
Osama, and they fake subtitled the words into english, unfortuantely it
turned out the creator was from Switzerland....
countries where i would expect some kinda cut-up scene, Russia, China,
India, Korea, Isreal, Egypt.

I play Dum Dum TV from time to time on SAR and realized today, as I was preparing to play them again, that I don't know ANYTHING about them (except that they have a seven inch split with Wayne Butane, a seven inch called Couch Potato Resistance, and a mini CD called parti-time something - all of which I have, but there is little to no info there either, beyond the audio).
