You would think that after 12 years of writing email on the internet
and bitnet that I'd learn to check the damned headers when I reply. SIGH
... Sorry folks. Now that y'all are going to look through my Australian
pictures and know my penchant for vegemite, I'd normally pay for my mistake
with content but I can't even think of any. umm... hmmm... surely there's
something...
Er, not very plunder-oriented but I just saw The American Astronaut
last night, a movie by Cory McAbee and The Billy Nayer Show, a well-worn
Bay Area (now NYC) band of many years. Amazing movie... my friend decided
it could possibly be summarized as "a musical version of Eraserhead" but
that hardly does it justice... it is, more or less, a
"space/western/musical", all black and white, startling imagery at times...
absolutely worth checking out if you get the chance. I know there are show
dates in Milwaukee and Minneapolis happening in the next month. It's part
of the Sound Unseen Road Trip, and if I got my info correct, our own Vicki
Bennett/People Like Us is part of the next one, and our own Jon Nelson is
curating the musical portion of that festival. Yay! WE RUN THE
WORLD (well, not yet, but...)

     Cheers y'all,

- Mark
