Worse, though, is the proposed SSSCA, which would *require*, under
force of law, all applicable devices to be designed with "digital rights
management". Coupled with the DMCA, which makes breaking any such
mechanisms illegal (as Dmitri Sklyarov found out).. it's not a
comforting scenario.
