oh great article from the paper of note. argh.
hey, I have a question for anyone, I'm trying to spot the original source
of a particular sample fragment, often used in rave music -- it's a basic
staple, although describing such a basic sound might sound foolish, it's an
acapella solo voice on a wavering high note that descends into 'I liiike
it'.
I need to find the original. The only record I have that uses it is meat
beat manifesto's '10x faster than the speed of love', track 5 off of '99%'
(appears in truncated looped form, makes it's first appearence
approximately 45 seconds into the track). It's such an archetypal rave
music sound, and I'm working on a pop song with a friend that needs
precisely that sound.
merry holixy
