some of may have noticed Detritus.net was offline for a few
hours today.
the YesIWill software I mentioned here got mention in
slashdot today:
http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=01/11/18/1632221
meaning detritus and the other 2 sites providing the
software suffered the "Slashdot Effect". what an honor!
anyway, it's worth looking at the comments for the slashdot
story. there's some interesting posts. also there's lots of
ignorance and some opposition. i'm always amazed by
how many "geeks" (for lack of a better term to stick on the
Slashdot demographic) are shockingly conservative.
very scary.
