There is no doubt about this in my mind. I think the problem is that the
Prelinger folks only HAVE American material. We must remember that the
archive consists of educational and ephemeral films that Mr. Prelinger
DOESN'T sell to people as stock footage. One can imagine he owns great
expanses of 16mm junk all from American public schools. He's culled the
most interesting ones and made them available.

I have to agree that a lovely interface would make it nice to get these
things, but I also have to be grateful I can grab any at all, no matter
how difficult. Half-full and half-empty. What a mitigator I am.

And if you ask me, the worst thing about you Europeans is you live so
darn far away and I can't get to your live shows. I'd love to see what
you're doing with this stuff, Vicki!
