dan,
indeed VIDEO GAMES are a million times more "trippy" than they used to be. I'm not much of a gamer, but i've seen enough within the last couple of years to realize that they've come a loooong way since my old favorite....Pong!
In fact I've heard many, many times about how playing the 3D Mario Brothers video game can actually help someone come down from a bad LSD trip. And that very video game has commercials which look just like it.
And I *know* many of you have been fooled, like I have, into believing a lot of those video game ads lately were real movie trailers until the outro "coming to a Sony Playstation near you."
It goes to show...movie trailers and video game commercials have become nearly impossible to tell apart...both have become extremely psychedelic.
Just the same, I've found this to be true of radio ads and top 40 music.
