i'm not sure but i thought i heard that the U.S. government
recently dropped it's thuggish crypto export restrictions.
Also recently, the patent for the RSA algorithm expired. i'm
not sure if these 2 events are related.
oh, besides, Freenet is an international project. the
founder Ian Clarke is Scottish I think. if americans couldnt
participate, i'm sure it would continue anyway...
