I'll bite. What I always say about this issue is that yes, we can be
sued. If someone cares to, they will. Can we prove it is an issue of
Fair Use? I have no idea. In fact, I've been very forward about the
idea that we would probably be crushed within an inch of our lives if a
corporation wanted to do just that.
But to echo the NegativView on the matter, we do have the RIGHT to make
this music, get it out there, and SEE if it complies with Fair Use. This
puts the onus on the artist to make sure his or her intentions are
understood through the art, or suffer the slings and arrows...
