this is pretty crazy. for those of you not familiar, Irrational
Geographic is a theme camp at Burning Man, present there for at
least the last 4 years or so.

I thought you'd find this amusing, and would want to post it to your IGS
list assuming it's still active.
Burning Man and Black Rock City LLC just received a letter from a lawyer
with the National Geographic Society asking us to cease and desist. They
think we are "maintaining an Internet site located at superdeluxe.com/igs/
I've sent an email and made a phone call to our lawyer asking him to tell
them to pound sand. And, while he's at it to give them a lesson on free
speech and the power of the internet, and a lesson in accurate research.
I have this woman's email address, and when Lightning (the lawyer) gives me
the okay, I'm going to publish it and any subsequent correspondence on the
JRS. I can't WAIT!
