I've started a new mailling list, "announceATdetritus.net". It will be
exclusively for announcements relevant to the web site and artists that
are hosted there, and I will be the only one posting anything to it. Posts
will happen once a week at the most, but will probably be more like once a
month, realistically. There's a lot of new content on its way to the
site in the next few months, so the list is mainly to let people know
when new things are online so they will know to come back and look at it.
Also there will be news about live shows and other activities of the
Detrivores and other related artists.
If you're on Rumori, you WILL be on Announce automatically, so there's no
need to sign up to the new one if you're going to stay here. However, I
thought i'd mention it in case any of you aren't interested in the
discussion here but would like to get announcements, in which case you
should u-n-s-u-b-scribe from Rumori and s-u-b-scribe to Announce.
To sign up for announce, the easiest way is to go to the front page of
detritus.net and put your email address in the little box in the lower
left corner and press return. You'll get a confirmation email that you'll
need to send back.
The first announcement will probably go out this week and will contain
several interesting bits of news, so stay tuned.
