I think it depends on the blatancy of the sampling. Funk Unit (one of my
bands)'s first CD is full of misc things (Bjork interviews, record
scratches, Autechre's drums), but the pressing company never
second-guessed us, and I think it was because of our use of samples being
not in-your-face.

Same here. Also, I have a song to which I added a band member named
"Public domain," for amusement; so MP3.com sent me 2 bags this time
around. One to my home address with my name, one to my home address with
"Public Domain" as the name.
