too many reasons to outline, but if I lived in a parallel universe I might
consider it.
>Q: If they offered to pay for your next one, would you take the money?
Pass again.
I would rather opt to be on a small 'true' indie label with limited distro
than a corporation like Sony. Distro squads like Mordam and others are
great about stocking shelves for small indie labels.
Now, in case anyone thinks, "well, you might change your mind if Sony
actually did approach you".
Well, we (the bran flakes) have been approached (not by Sony, but by a big
indie label in 1996) and we did say no.
>Q: Would you double-bill with Rage Against The Machine?
I'd rather play on the street corner with this kid I know that plays live
with a broken down 1975 handheld cassette player, synsonic drums, a muppets
brand kids keyboard, and he sings like wild man fisher circa 1969.
I would think about touring with Rage.. but I couldn't picture a headline
like, "TONIGHT ONLY... RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE AND THE BRAN FLAKES...
BROUGHT TO YOU BY BUDWEISER, NIKE, BURGER KING AND SONY MUSIC". :-)
Actually... I'd like go back to 1965 in France and play shows with Serge
Gainsbourg. Can anyone loan me their time machine for a month or two?
Chow,
