technically, this already happens in the US and in Italy and in most
countries in the so-called western world bith blank tapes. A small
percentage on the price of blank tapes goes to all copyright holders
(according to some legend ;)))) actually, it probably goes to the usual
bunch of idiots, i.e. the major labels and bands that are already
scandalously rich.
If I'm not wrong this is the principle behind the legalization of home
taping (for non commercial use, of course... ;)) in the USA...
