That was me. It was in response to the thread that whoever brought up
about the near-term future culture. I happen to think that as we
advance into the next set of years the idea of getting some large
portion of the population off the planet is going to become a more and
more popular idea.

But as Steev and I decided, it's so far off topic as to really need to
be taken off-list.

Although I guess the idea of intellectual appropriation is on-topic if
you want to think about in terms of NASA appropriating a lot of
marketing ideas to make the space program more accessible...(see Mars
lander web coverage for example).
