GOOD TIMES

After months of painstaking editing, remixing, track arranging, and production, the latest recording by the Tape-beatles has been declared 'master' by the threesome and sent off to Staalplaat for pressing. Copies of the CD should be available in a matter of weeks.

GOOD TIMES: A PLAY IN THREE ACTS

The text of a mysterious manuscript found in a hole in a wall has been made public on our web site. The decades-old document inexplicably bore the title of "Good Times," and comprises a play with a cast of five vibrating characters. The strangeness of the text is exceeded only by its angst-ridden horror.

Read the play: http://soli.inav.net/~psrf/Tb/gt/a_play_c.html

This play, along with the article "I feel bad about 'Good Times'" make up the liner notes from the upcoming CD.

"MAKE MONEY, HAVE FUN, ASSOCIATE ONLY WITH PLEASANT PEOPLE"

The preceding quotation comes from a cassette the Tape-beatles found at the downtown Iowa City Goodwill store in the late 1980s. The liked the quotation and worked it into many early audio sketches for what would become 'A subtle buoyancy of pulse.' As fate would have it, the quip never made the final cut and now only serves here as an insider's joke; an obsure reference to a mode of production and set of attitudes which no longer exist at the Glassed-in Laboratories.

I truck it out only to 'illustrate' this announcement:
