In my utopian dream roughly the same portion of society that watches TV
(say 83%) makes art, and all sells it to each other, for roughly the
same percentage of income as a hot-dog from a street vendor. Then the
whole financial dimension shreds and people have to have some kind of
real job to eat, but they get little bits of extra income from selling
their artwork, that they can reinvest in making the work OR spend on
other people's work. Then the $$$ issue of the samples thing
collapses...
